Find your Happy Pace

Yesterday, I went for 13 mile run with my normal Sunday morning crew for our weekly long run.
When I started up, my quad was a bit sore and I noticed I was just a wee bit behind the group pace most of the time. Usually, when I was running and chatting with one of the ladies,  she would run with me a few paces behind, but there were a few times, I ran by myself and hung tight in the back.

The phrase from the running sticker "find your happy pace" came to mind. That was the best I could do yesterday, and I think it was wise to listen to my body and take it a bit easier.

So, that's been my prayer for you the last couple of days that you would be able to find your happy pace.  Some days, that will mean you are sprinting ahead and leading the pack. Other days, you'll be right in the mix with everyone else, and then there will be times you are a bit behind for some reason or another.  But the secret with all of it is contentment - not stressing out when things aren't quite on target.  May God give you contentment- to accept yourself and to share that gift of acceptance with others to help them along the road when they need some encouragement.
